CALANGUTE: As part of the ongoing Village Development Programs (October 2–16), a Women Empowerment Training Program was successfully organized for women of the Calangute Constituency. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from 64 women, focusing on building confidence, leadership skills, and self-reliance.
Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira welcomed the participants and encouraged them to engage with a positive mindset. He highlighted that the program was the brainchild of Project Coordinator Premanand Diukar, commending his efforts in promoting women’s development and expressing happiness over the strong response from local women.
Distinguished trainers from JCI India—Sachin Kurtikar (Head Coach), Sharmila Valavalkar (National Trainer), Adv. Mamta Naik, and Adv. Neelam Narvekar—conducted the interactive sessions.
Participants described the training as informative, inspiring, and enjoyable, appreciating the trainers’ engaging approach. The program concluded on a positive note, with attendees expressing their eagerness to take part in similar developmental initiatives in the future.
