ANJUNA: A 40-year-old labourer from Bihar died while undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim after accidentally falling from an under-construction building at Anjuna.
According to police, a wireless message was received from CP GMC Bambolim on March 29 at 8.24 pm informing that Rakesh Mahato (40), son of Jugeshwar, a labourer and resident of Ward No. 08, Marsaiti, Teghra, Begusarai, Bihar, expired in Ward No. 120 of GMC as a case of fall from height at Anjuna under MLC No. 23/2460.
Enquiry revealed that on March 28 at around 10 am, the deceased was working at an under-construction site at Survey No. 287/3, Anjuna, identified as “Amoria”, when he accidentally fell from the first floor of the structure.
Police said he was immediately shifted to Asilo Hospital, Mapusa, and later referred to GMC Bambolim for further treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
