PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today informed that his department is also working towards treating Interstitial pneumonia caused due to COVID-19.
Rane chaired an emergency meeting today with Secretary Health Nila Mohanan, Dean Dr. Bandekar, Deputy Director-DHS Dr. Geeta Kakodkar, Dr Anar, Dr Dattaram Sardesai & Dr Durga Lawande to further streamline response time to treat Covid patients at GMC.
“Our team is also working towards treating Interstitial pneumonia caused due to COVID-19, since it is very complex in nature, it is important to treat it at the right time.” said Rane
He further said that health department is working on improvising our protocols & SOPs to strengthen our fight against COVID-19.
Furthermore, spreading awareness has become increasingly crucial, we shall be conducting awareness campaigns in order to reach to the masses and impart knowledge on symptoms of COVID-19. Team Goa is working unabated to fight the menace of this virus.
