Panaji: A two-day training workshop for Government officials on the use of the newly developed online e-telephone directory commenced today at the Directorate of Accounts, Kautilya Lekha Bhavan, Porvorim.
The programme has been organised by the Department of Information and Publicity (DIP).
The workshop is aimed at training nodal officers of various Government departments to update and maintain the official telephone directory in the online mode. Participants were also informed that the facility will soon be available via a mobile app.
Resource persons from Demerg Systems India, including CEO Shri Mohnish Vassudev Ghodekar and technical team members Shri Kishan Naik, Ms. Shloka Neugi, and Shri Brijesh Rane, conducted the sessions.
The online telephone directory, recently designed by DIP, will provide citizens with easy access to contact information of Government departments, semi-Government bodies, corporations, and autonomous institutions, including addresses, websites, and email IDs.
In his address, Information Officer, DIP, Shri Kiran B. Munankar, urged the nodal officers to regularly update their department’s details with accuracy. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session. Assistant Information Officer Shri Govind Gaonkar and other officials were also present. The programme was compered by Ms. Utkarsha Bhuskute.
