PANAJI: The Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Goa State Branch in association with Goa College of Pharmacy, Directorate of Food & Drug Administration, Govt. of Goa, Goa Pharmaceuticals Manufacturer’s Association, Chemists and Druggists Association of Goa and Goa State Pharmacy Council celebrated the World Pharmacists Day on 25th of September 2024 at Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji- Goa.
The theme for this year is- Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs
World Pharmacists Day is observed on the 25th September every year to pay tribute to pharmacists for the role they play in improving global health. This year’s theme highlights the role of pharmacists in healthcare systems around the world.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was the Director of the Directorate of Food & Drug Administration Ms Shweta Dessai who emphasized the task-handling abilities of the department and how every budding pharmacist should work with the right focus and determination. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was Dr. Praveen Khullar, President of the Goa Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association (GPMA) & Executive Director, of VerGo Pharma who delivered a keynote address.
Dr. Gopal Krishna Rao, President, IPA-Goa Branch and the Principal of Goa College of Pharmacy delivered the welcome address.
