ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered a case under Sections 329(3), 324(5), and 303(2) of the BNS Act, 2023 in connection with the alleged illegal towing and theft involving a Mahindra XUV500 at Oxel.
The offence was registered on 13 November 2025 at 20:18 hrs following a complaint by Captain Brian Fernandes, resident of Avida De Oxel, Siolim.
According to the complaint, on 24 October 2025 at around 1:00 pm, the accused — Tyris Machado and Tomas Machado, both residents of Arrady, Oxel, Siolim — allegedly criminally trespassed into the complainant’s property using a mobile crane. The duo reportedly towed the complainant’s Mahindra XUV500 (MH-04-GJ-2197) from within the premises and abandoned it on the main road in a damaged condition, causing an estimated loss of ₹2,80,000.
The complainant further stated that ₹27,843 in cash, kept inside the vehicle’s glove box, was also stolen.
The investigation is being handled by PSI Ramesh Harijan of Anjuna Police Station.
Police have confirmed that the offence has been registered and that notices under Section 35(3) of BNSS were issued to both accused — Tyris Machado and Tomas Machado — on 14 November 2025. Further investigation is in progress.
