Margao: “We will AMEND the Xth Schedule of the Constitution of India & make Defection (leaving the Orginal Party on which MLA or MP was elected) an Automatic Disqualification of the Membership of the Assembly or Parliament. BJP Leader Vinod Tawde is worried because of this Commitment of Congress,” stated Yuri Alemao.
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao condemned the statement of BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde alleging that Congress Will Change the Consitution. Congress is here to protect the Constitution, asserted Yuri Alemao.
“We don’t want Lessons on the Constitution from those who Murdered Constitution engineering Mass Defections. BJP has shown utmost Disrespect to the Constitution,” said Yuri Alemao.
BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde should have addressed the Press Conference with Defectors Digambar Kamat, Aleixo Sequeira, Michael Lobo, Sankalp Amonkar & other four MLAs when he was speaking on the Constitution, Yuri Alemao said.
BJP has overturned many Democratically Elected Governments in the last ten years by encouraging Defections. They even Amended Municipal Law to get their Chairperson elected in Margao Municipal Council who had earlier faced humiliating defeat, charged Yuri Alemao.
BJP is now worried because it is certain that INDIA Government will come to power in June 2024. After INDIA Government is formed all the States in which BJP grabbed power through backdoors will fall. Goa will also have a new Government claimed Yuri Alemao.
