ANJUNA: Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder case registered at Anjuna Police Station after a violent assault near Avatara Bar & Restaurant, Chapora, on Tuesday morning.
The case, registered as Crime No. 130/2025 under Section 109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, is based on a complaint filed by Mohammed Noorudhe EN Mulla, a 24-year-old resident of Bengaluru.
According to police, the accused, Sahil, son of Sawood Hasan Bapu, allegedly attacked Mothe Sairam (27), a businessman from Telangana, with a sharp weapon on the head around 6.30 am on September 16, with the intention to kill him. The victim sustained serious bleeding injuries and was rushed for medical treatment.
Sahil, a businessman residing near Oppas Restaurant, Chapora, Bardez, was arrested the same day at 3.44 pm.
Further investigation is underway, police said.
