MARGAO: Based on a complaint filed by Regino Vaz of Zariwado, Davorlim, police have booked one Sharook Khatip of Dicarpali for allegedly assaulting Vaz’s son, Samson, with an iron pipe near the Dicarpali bus stop.
The incident occurred between 12.30 am and 1.30 am on August 30, 2025, when Samson was in discussion along with his friend Ali Khan — a rent-a-cab driver employed by the accused — over salary-related issues. Khatip reportedly struck Samson on the head, causing blunt injuries.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sagar Kamat of Margao Town Police Station.
