CANACONA: A narcotics raid conducted by Canacona Police at Colomb beach on Tuesday led to the arrest of a 21-year-old youth for alleged possession of cocaine intended for sale.
Acting on specific and reliable information, a team led by PSI Vishal Velip apprehended Khalid Sarad, a resident of Mastimol, Canacona, in alleged possession of 2.95 grams of suspected cocaine, valued at approximately ₹29,500.
Police said the accused had brought the drugs to deliver to a prospective customer.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by PSI Ramdas Doifode of Canacona Police Station.
