VASCO: In a tragic incident on early Sunday morning, a cylinder gas leak at Sai Naga in Fakir Galli at Vasco, claimed the life of one person, with three others currently undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College Hospital.
According to information from sources, Sanjay Bind (21 ), a native of Varanasi was killed in the gas leak incident
” A group of Eight people had come to Goa from Ghaziabad district Varanasi in search of work. They arrived in Vasco on Friday and took two rooms on rent at Fakir Galli in Shantinagar. A group of 4 people were staying in one room and the other 4 were sleeping in another room.
Unfortunately on Sunday morning, when one group got up in the morning, they found that the other group had not woken up and knocked on the room but found no response. After trying for a long time, they alerted the locals and broke open the door to find the group of 4 people unconscious and motionless and that the room was full of LPG gas leakage. They immediately called the police and fire department and rushed all 4 persons to the Chicalim Sub District Hospital. While Sanjay Bind was declared dead, the other three persons were rushed to the GMC where one person is critical in ICU while the other two are out of danger.” said the source.
