ARAMBOL: In a terrifying incident late Wednesday night, a youth narrowly escaped a leopard attack while riding home from Siolim to Agarwadda, Arambol.
According to sources, the leopard suddenly appeared on the road and lunged at the rider, causing him to lose control of his bike. Both the youth and the wild cat reportedly fell in the scuffle.
As the leopard attempted to approach again, the youth managed to flee the scene and reach home safely.
Forest officials have been alerted, and a team is expected to survey the area.
The incident has sparked panic among locals, with residents urging authorities to step up patrolling and ensure safety in the area.
