MARGAO: A 21-year-old youth was declared brought dead at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, after he was found lying unconscious at his flat in Nagvaddo, Betalbatim, on Monday evening.
According to Colva Police, information was received on 23/03/2026 at around 6:32 pm from an unknown caller stating that a person was lying unconscious at a flat in Nagvaddo, Betalbatim. Police personnel rushed to the spot, however, it was learnt that the individual had already been shifted to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, by a 108 ambulance.
Upon visiting SGDH, doctors declared the person brought dead.
During inquiry, the deceased was identified as Sivraj Gandharbha (21), a native of Nepal and presently residing at Nagvaddo, Betalbatim. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the deceased was allegedly heavily intoxicated and had fallen from his bicycle while returning to his flat.
The body has been preserved at SGDH, Margao, for further medico-legal formalities.
