SARZORA: A 27-year-old man died in a self-accident reported at Sarzora on April 5, Cuncolim Police said.
According to police, a call was received from South Goa District Hospital, Margao, at around 10:38 am informing that Wilson Soreng (27), a resident of Assolda, Quepem, was brought dead following a vehicular accident at Sarzora. An unnatural death case has been registered under Section 194 of BNSS, along with a motor vehicle accident case.
During inquiry, police learned from family members that the deceased had left for Easter Mass at Cuncolim with friends. After the mass, he reportedly stayed back with them for some time, and while returning home, met with a self-accident at Sarzora, succumbing to his injuries.
Police conducted the inquest panchanama, and the body has been preserved at South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal formalities. Further inquiry is being carried out by PSI Aditya Sawant of Cuncolim Police Station.
