PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that implementing the Zero Budget Natural Farming in Goa shall enhance the farmer’s yield and income.
Sawant visited a Natural Farming Project in Gujarat, initiated & inspired by the works of Governor of Gujarat and the National Innovation Foundation.
“Natural Farming in Goa shall enhance the farmer’s yield & income. The Govt. of Goa is committed to extending support and guidance for the adoption of Natural Farming in the state,” said CM Sawant.
He further interacted with the farmers to understand the Zero Budget Natural Farming, an indigenous, chemical-free, sustainable farming method.
“This initiative has given considerable yields, economic opportunities for animal husbandry & natural fertiliser sectors,” he added.
Sawant said that the sustainable, environmentally friendly farming method should reduce production costs and help enhance income.
“The initiative shall speed up the journey towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Swayampurna Goa,” CM says.
