VASCO: One person was arrested by Verna police, and FIR has been registered against the immediate supervisor from the contractor’s side who was supervising the operation, says Vasco DySP Nilesh Rane.
The blast at Zuarinagar on Tuesday, which took the lives of three workers, shook the entire Goa. The local police took cognisance of the incident and arrested one supervisor from the contractor’s side. The offence has been registered against him by the Verna police, said Vasco DySP Nilesh Rane.
He further informed that one person has been arrested in this case, and some more arrests are likely to take place very soon. Police are investigating the matter from all angles, Rane added.
On Tuesday afternoon, three workers died in a blast while they were engaged in dismantling the gas tanks by using the hot works method, which led to the blast costing three lives of the workers on Tuesday.
