PANAJI: Zuno General Insurance (formerly Edelweiss General Insurance), the lead insurer for the State Insurance Plan in Goa, is pleased to report the significant positive impact of its ongoing Insurance awareness camps in the region.
Zuno General Insurance is working closely with Goa State Government Departments like Department of Fisheries, Department of Trade and Commerce, Transport department and State Rural livelihood mission to create awareness about property insurance, motor insurance and health insurance.
The company’s awareness camps aim to enhance the reach and accessibility of insurance products across the region, with special focus on rural and women population.
These insurance awareness camps are designed to create awareness about the advantages of general insurance and the pressing need for insurance services among the general public.
These camps are not just about imparting knowledge; they aim to enhance the financial security of policyholders by promoting health, property, and various non-life insurance products. This initiative has been well-received in Goa, with members of Self-Help Groups connected with the State Rural Livelihood Mission, Fishermen Associations enthusiastically participating in these camps.

Key Achievements of Zuno’s Awareness Camps in Goa:
Wide Outreach: Zuno General Insurance has conducted 30 awareness camps across 27 locations in Goa, with over 800 participants. These numbers reflect the broad outreach of these initiatives.
Empowering Rural Communities: Through the Rural Livelihood Mission, Zuno has introduced the newly launched “Bima Vahak” to Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Gram Panchayats. This initiative is not only about insurance but also about promoting financial security and empowerment within rural communities.
Road Safety and Insurance Program: The launch of the Road Safety and Insurance program for SHGs and fishermen associations reinforces Zuno’s commitment in promoting insurance awareness and accessibility, with the goal of making a positive impact on the lives of the people of Goa.
