MARGAO’ Police seized approximately one kilogram of ganja valued at ₹1.2 lakh during a midnight narcotics raid at Navelim on March 2.
The operation was carried out by a team from Margao Police Station as part of ongoing efforts to curb the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in the region.
According to police sources, the contraband was seized during the raid conducted in the early hours. Further details regarding the accused and the circumstances of the seizure were being ascertained at the time of filing this report.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of the Police Inspector of Margao Town Police Station, with overall supervision by the SDPO, Margao, and the Superintendent of Police, South Goa. Further investigation is in progress.
