New Delhi: The All India Football Federation has invited bids for the long term commercial rights of its men’s and women’s club competitions, seeking partnerships for a minimum period of 15 years starting from the 2026 to 2027 season.
The federation has structured the tender into two distinct packages. Package A includes the Indian Super League, which serves as the top tier men’s competition, along with the Federation Cup, the country’s premier domestic knockout tournament. Package B covers the Indian Women’s League and its second division, with an option for the successful bidder to incorporate a proposed Women’s Federation Cup in the future.
Notably, the Request for Proposal does not include the recently renamed Indian Football League, formerly known as the I League.
Interested entities must purchase the RFP document for Rs 2.5 lakh directly from the federation, as it will not be made publicly accessible. Only those who complete the payment process will be eligible to submit bids, and the right to bid cannot be transferred to affiliated organisations.
A pre bid meeting has been scheduled for March 11, with submissions closing on March 19 and bids set to be opened the following day.
The fresh tender comes amid recent uncertainty surrounding the ISL season. The 2025 to 2026 edition began on February 14 in a shortened format after delays caused by the expiry of the Master Rights Agreement with Football Sports Development Limited. Following negotiations and government intervention, all 14 clubs agreed to participate in a truncated season featuring 91 matches on a home and away basis.
Earlier this year, the AIFF awarded global broadcast rights for the shortened ISL season to FanCode for Rs 8.62 crore, while production rights were secured by Kaleidoscope Production and Services.
