SANKHALI: In a horrifying event that happened on Saturday night in Vithalapur, Sankhali, an 11-year-old boy was brutally murdered by a Maharashtra resident by hitting his skull with a stone.
According to police, the accused, identified as Chandu, a native of Shegaon, Maharashtra, has been arrested at Kalyan railway station.
The accused was apprehended within six hours after registering the offence by Bicholim Police from Kalyan railway station Bombay. It is said that Chandu was fired from his position. The new employee hired to replace Chandu was the brother of the 11-year-old victim.
As per information, Chandu Patil native of Maharashtra committed the murder of a minor boy namely Mast Samir Ali native U.P. by inflicting a hard blunt object on his head thereby causing him multiple head injuries and resulting in his death.
Following the incident, the deceased’s body was taken to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, for a post-mortem examination.
Bicholim Police Station officials that an investigation is ongoing regarding a case that was filed under Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act and Section 103 of the BNS.
