PANAJI: In a coordinated recovery effort, Goa Police today handed over 124 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners at the Police Headquarters (PHQ).
The devices were traced and retrieved by the Crime Branch using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal of the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India.
The handover ceremony was presided over by the Inspector General of Police, Goa. After verification and identification procedures, the recovered phones were formally returned to the respective owners.
The initiative highlights the effective use of technology in tracing lost and stolen mobile devices and strengthening citizen service delivery by Goa Police.
