CHICALIM: Following his inspection and fulfilling the promise made to the Doctors of SDH Chicalim and MLA and Minister for Panchayats Mauvin Godinho, the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that his department has successfully conducted first Satellite OPD at Chicalim South District Hospital, serving a total of 170 patients.

He further said that comprehensive medical services were efficiently delivered across multiple specialities, with Orthopedics attending to 70 patients, while Surgery and Medicine departments each treated 50 patients.
“The facility welcomed 86 new patients alongside 84 follow-up cases, demonstrating strong community response and the essential need for expanded healthcare services in the region.” he added
This encouraging turnout validates the timely implementation of the satellite OPD initiative in enhancing healthcare accessibility for South Goa residents.
Rane also said that many people await life-saving organ transplants hoping for a second chance at life. SOTTO Goa is working to streamline organ donation thereby ensuring timely matches for those in need.
“It is encouraging to see more Goans coming forward to donate leading to a rise in the number of organ donors. Every donor makes a difference. You can pledge your organs and be a part of this life-saving cause.” he added
