CANDOLIM: Calangute Police said that two employees of a beach shack were taken into custody after they were allegedly involved in an altercation with three veterinarians.
At the Calangute police station, a formal complaint was filed under the BNS’s version parts. In a statement, the police named the accused as Jitendra Singh, 24, and Arun Kumar, 25, adding that they had been taken into custody.
The complaint states that at approximately midnight on Friday, the accused shack owner and his employees reportedly mistreated a lady veterinarian and used a bamboo stick to attack her two friends who are also in the same line of work.
According to authorities, the two were taken by ambulance to a hospital after suffering injuries to their heads and backs. Additionally, it is claimed that the accused mistreated the female doctor and shoved her.
“We had gone to a seashore restaurant for dinner at approximately 11:30 p.m., one of the doctors said to the press. When we got back after 30 minutes, there were two or three people at a shack that was still under construction who were sipping alcohol. When we challenged them, they denied making any remarks about our woman friend, who was walking ahead of us, and they apologized for offending us,” said a doctor
“This led to an argument. We then decided to walk to our car, which was parked a few metres ahead. Suddenly, at least seven accused men arrived and they hit me from behind with a bamboo stick. I had a blackout and was bleeding from the head,” he claimed.
The doctor also said that the accused also hit his friend. When our woman friend intervened, they pulled her hair and slapped her too. The accused also tried to intimidate us by bringing a pitbull dog. They had come to beat us. The accused said, ‘You are not from Goa, you should not have come here’,” he claimed.

CANDOLIM: Reacting to the incident and arrest, Shack owner Sonia has refuted all the charges of assault on 3 doctors at Candolim.
Sonia said that “the 3 doctors were fighting among themselves and were allegedly drinking on the beach.
The trio had come to the shack asking for more alcohol, but the worker denied saying that the shack was not open. They even refused to go to medical check-ups which are just 500 meters away.
