MAPUSA: After a self-accident late on, Jawito Ghadamudi, a 28-year-old Sodiem-Siolim youngster, passed away from his injuries while receiving treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) in Bambolim.
Jawito was traveling home on the Cunchelim-Teen Maad route at approximately 11.30 p.m., when the collision happened, according to the police.
He reportedly lost control of his two-wheeler and collided with a compound wall next to the government primary school. He struck his head on a stone as a result of the impact, losing consciousness.
Before the injured youth was transferred to GMC for more care, onlookers hurried him to a nearby hospital.
But while receiving treatment on Wednesday morning, he passed away from his injuries.
Police gave the body to the family for last rites after completing the required procedures.
The incident is still being investigated by Mapusa police, who have filed a case of accidental death.
