PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that 3,921 STEMI (heart attack) cases and 12,299 critical ECG cases were diagnosed and 2,948 patients were thrombolised at the Peripheral hospitals since the implementation of the STEMI Project by the Goa government in December 2018.
“I am proud to share the remarkable progress of our STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Project since its launch on Dec 25, 2018. It is a blazing success story with 12,299 critical ECG Diagnoses, 3,921 STEMI Diagnosis, and 2948 Lives Saved through Thrombolysis,” said Rane
He further said that GMC’s dedicated healthcare professionals and state-of-the-art technology have ensured rapid diagnosis and treatment for heart attack patients across the state.
“We have reached every corner of Goa. The STEMI Project is a testament to our commitment to health of our people,” he added
STEMI Goa Project works with 20 spokes (Peripheral Govt. Hospitals), 1 Hub (Goa Medical College & Hospital), and 3 leading Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) capable private hospitals in the state ensures heart patients reach the nearest centre in the shortest possible time.
