MARGAO: In a scuffle between beef vendors and Margao youths, two youths were injured. The Incident happened at SGPDA market in Margao.
According to sources, the youths had allegedly gone to check illegal beef transportation and were allegedly attacked. A Complaint has also been filed at Fatorda Police station.
“Trouble broke out between two groups near the Fish Market, Fatorda, after one group stopped a vehicle allegedly carrying beef. Two youths were seriously injured in the scuffle when they were attacked with sharp weapons,” said a source
On the other hand, the group supporting the vehicle carrying the meat went to the Fatorda police station to lodge a complaint.
Bajarang Dal leader Bhagwan Redkar claimed that two youths — Kiran Acharya and Sai Malwankar — were badly injured when they were attacked for questioning the transportation of beef. He said that the assailants were non-Goans.
