PANAJI: The District Level Committee (DLC), North Goa, convened under the chairmanship of Collector North Goa, Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, to review and decide claims under the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
A total of 46 claims received from the villages of Bhuipal, Pali and Morlem in Sattari taluka were taken up for consideration during the meeting.
Of these, 41 claims were approved by the committee, while 3 claims were rejected. The remaining 2 claims were not decided and have been kept for personal hearing.
Officials stated that the decisions were taken after scrutiny of documents and verification of eligibility under the provisions of the Act.
