BAMBOLIM: A 42-year-old man from Cansaulim died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, on September 27.
According to police, a wireless message was received from GMC Bambolim at around 12.31 pm informing that Krishanappa Gawda, 42, had expired while receiving treatment for septic shock.
During the inquiry, police learnt that Gawda was residing alone in a rented room at Cansaulim. On September 26, he reportedly fell unwell and was taken to PHC Cansaulim by a friend.
He was subsequently referred to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, and later shifted to GMC Bambolim for further medical treatment. However, he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
His body has been preserved at GMC Bambolim for further medico-legal formalities.
Further inquiry is being conducted by PSI David Costa of Verna Police Station.
