CANACONA – A lady-driven car went off the road at Dapot-Maxem in Canacona before it came to a halt on an abandoned car. Luckily the occupants escaped injuries on Thursday.
According to sources, the Car from Ponda heading to Udupi in Karnataka, driven by a woman, went down the steep turn at Dapot-Maxem, and after breaking about 3-4 wooden poles apart, came to a halt on pipe down the road.
Luckily no car occupants suffered any injuries, and all are reportedly safe.
According to locals, this is the 7th accident/mishap at the site due to the steep turn/slope, and people demanded either a speed breaker or speed limits to a maximum of 60 kmph, to avoid similar mishaps/accidents in future.
