VAGATOR: A resident of Vagator who was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, was taken into custody by Anjuna Police on Friday night for allegedly possessing 878 grams of narcotics valued at Rs 6.55 lakh.
After learning of drug sales close to the ground in Chiwar, Vagator, police set up a trap there.
When Sanjay Likia Das, 26, arrived to sell drugs, police apprehended him.
878 grams of hashish, worth Rs 6.55 lakh, were discovered with the suspect during the search.
Later, he was taken into custody in relation to this matter.
Sources claim that the suspect was lodging with a friend in Vagator after traveling from Uttarakhand on October 23.
Under the direction of Police Inspector Suraj Gawas, a squad led by PSI Saish Shetgaonkar conducted the raid.
