CANACONA : In two separate complaints lodged by managements of two different 5-Star hotels, 5 local activists including congress leader Janardan Bhadari were booked by Canacona police on Friday.
In a first complaint by Lalit Golf and Spa Resorts, Yash Pagi, Sahil Gaonkar, Janardhan Bhandari, Vaishnav Pandekar and 25 others are booked and the first four named persons have been served upon notice under section 35/3 of BNSS. u/sec.
A complaint against them is registered under sections 189(2),191(2),329(3).351(3), 115(2), 324(4), 352 r/w 190 BNS Act, upon the written complaint received from Ajay Upadhyay General Manager, Bharat Hotels & Limited, Canacona to the effect that on 12/12/2024 at around 12.45 hrs at The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort, Canacona, the accused persons and 25 others, in furtherance of their common object formed unlawful assembly and trespassed in The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort, Canacona and threatened the security officer namely Laxman with dire consequences. The above noted accused persons also abused and assaulted the staff of the Lalit Golf & Spa Resort as well as damaged the hotel property. PSI. Shivram Gauns of Canacona PS is investigating.
In a second complaint from another 5-Star hotel, activists are booked u/sec 189(2), 191(2), 329(3), 351(3), 352, 126(2) r/w 190 BNS Act , upon the written Complaint received from Amit Prabhu, owner of cloud 9 Sarovar Premiere, Nagorcem- Palolem, Canacona Goa, to the effect that on 12/12/2024 at around 12.45 Hrs at cloud 9 Sarovar Premiere, Nagorcem- Palolem, Canacona Goa accused persons namely Janardhan Bhandari, Vaishnav Pednekar, Ravish Komarpant, Suresh Metri and 25 others in furtherance of their common object formed unlawful assembly, and forcibly trespassed in cloud 9 Sarovar Premiere Hotel, Nagorcem- Palolem, Canacona Goa, and thereafter abused and threatened the staff and management of cloud 9 Sarovar Premiere Hotel with dire consequences. The above noted accused persons blocked the entry and exit gate of the hotel by parking two and four wheelers on the gate thereby wrongfully restraining the movement of guests and hotel staff.
