PANAJI: As India’s aviation landscape continues to evolve, Air India Express has marked a significant milestone by launching operations from Manohar International Airport in North Goa, expanding its domestic and international network. This strategic move not only boosts connectivity within the country but also enhances its international reach, with direct flights to Kuwait and Abu Dhabi set to begin in early May 2025.
The expansion into North Goa signifies a crucial step in Air India Express’s growth strategy, as it now operates over 115 weekly flights to and from Goa—75 from Goa International Airport and more than 40 from Manohar International Airport. New direct flights from North Goa connect travelers to major metropolitan areas like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Indore. Services to Hyderabad are slated to commence on May 3, 2025, further expanding the network.
In addition to its domestic services, Air India Express is set to launch international flights to Kuwait on May 3 and to Abu Dhabi on May 5, bolstering its presence in the Middle East. The launch of these routes was celebrated at a commemorative event at Manohar International Airport, attended by key executives from Air India Express and other stakeholders.
Air India Express also offers travelers the convenience of curated vacation packages through its ‘Xpress Holidays’ platform, which provides comprehensive travel experiences including flights, hotels, transfers, and local excursions. Notably, the airline is the only carrier operating from two airports in Goa, enhancing its unique position in the Indian aviation market. Furthermore, Air India Express connects Hindon to multiple destinations, reinforcing its role in regional connectivity.
Over the past two years, Air India Express has doubled its capacity, now operating over 500 daily flights to 55 destinations across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to providing robust connectivity from major hubs like Abu Dhabi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, and Kuwait.
