PORVORIM: Women and Child Department (WCD) Minister Vishwajit Rane today has assured to clear all pending Laadli Laxmi applications.
Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar raised the issue of pending cases of Griha Adhar applications.
He said most of the cases are marked to the committee for more than 5 years.
“I have instructed to call for the committee meeting and clear the cases. We have been clearing the cases as per fund availability. I will give a written update in a day or two,” said Rane.
Rane also assured to sanction all the pending Ladli Lakshmi forms before the end of this Assembly session.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai pointed out that 3900-odd applications under the Laadli Laxmi scheme, questioned why funds are not released when the Budget is surplus.
“More than 3,000 applications under the Ladli Lakshmi scheme are pending but still the government claims that their budget is surplus,” said Vijai.
WCD Min Vishwajit Rane assured the Assembly to call for a meeting of the Committee today, approve the applications.
