DABOLIM: After Qatar Airways, now SpiceJet Airlines have suspended all operations at Dabolim International Airport.
As per information, Spicejet has winded up all operations at Dabolim in the last two days.
“Spicejet has stopped all operations at Dabolim airport in last 2 days” said a source
However, Spicejet will continue to operate at Manohar International Airport at Mopa. Dabolim Airport officials were not available to comment on the issue.
In the last financial year, DABOLIM handled 8.4 million passengers, and this year we expect 7 million, marking a difference of around 15 to 20 per cent (reduction).”
“The Dabolim airport will remain operational. In the coming ‘summer schedule’, we will get additional flights. Most of the charter flights are operated from here only. Dabolim airport will survive as it has the potential,” Airport Director Rao had said recently said.
