MAPUSA: The Aam Aadmi Party Goa desk in-charge Atishi on Sunday unveiled a ‘vision for Mapusa’ manifesto in the presence of AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre promising a revamp of the Mapusa market, as well as a proper garbage collection system to ensure party’s clean Mapusa objective.
While addressing the media Atishi said, “Both the Congress and the BJP have failed to develop this constituency. Since the last several months, AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre has been doing door-to-door campaigning with AAP volunteers in Mapusa. We have incorporated the solution for the Mapusa people’s problem which was shared with us while we were conducting door-to-door campaigns”.
“AAP’s main objective is to revitalize the Mapusa Market, which is the city’s primary economic engine. At present, there is no proper garbage collection system. Therefore, AAP wants to introduce regular garbage collection to meet its clean Mapusa objective. There has been a demand for Ravindra Bhavan from Mapusa people, and we promise to initiate the project if AAP forms the government”.
She said, “There is a lack of transportation facility in Mapusa. To ensure intercity mobility, AAP will introduce electric shuttles in the city. Additionally, connectivity has become more important due to the pandemic. AAP will set up WiFi hotspots in the city to meet this need”.
“We will also install CCTV cameras across the city to ensure Mapusa’s safety. Furthermore, we will create recreation centers for kids and senior citizens, as well as we will work to preserve the city’s heritage”, she added.
AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre said, “We have seen the Congress and the BJP, but neither party has worked for the betterment of Mapusa. They have only worked for their own advancement. This manifesto is a vision document for rebuilding Mapusa”.
“It is not rocket science. AAP knows how to provide basic amenities to its people. To fulfill all the promises, one needs willingness and willpower, and I have both. I urge people to give AAP a chance to rebuild Mapusa and to make a difference in the state”, he added.
