In Valpoi, police said Premanand Arjun Bagi (45) of Savorcem, Sattari, was nabbed near Kalika Hotel, Savorshem around 4.30 pm while accepting matka bets. Cash of ₹300 and other gambling articles were seized from him. He was placed under arrest at 7.11 pm and released on bail later the same evening. Team Goemkarponn VELSAO: Verna Police have registered a case against three women for allegedly abusing and assaulting a woman with a wooden stick following a property dispute in Velsao Pale. According to the complaint filed by Rukmini Sharma, the incident occurred on November 22, 2023, around 6.30 pm, when the accused — Rupa Sharma, Ragini Sharma and Geeta Sharma — allegedly abused her with filthy language, assaulted her with a wooden danda causing injuries, and threatened her with dire consequences. According to a complaint filed by Neha Kumari, originally from Bihar and residing at Mastimol, the incident occurred on September 2 around 5 pm outside her rented room when the accused, Shahida Khan, allegedly slapped her son on the face.
