In Valpoi, police said Premanand Arjun Bagi (45) of Savorcem, Sattari, was nabbed near Kalika Hotel, Savorshem around 4.30 pm while accepting matka bets. Team Goemkarponn VELSAO: Verna Police have registered a case against three women for allegedly abusing and assaulting a woman with a wooden stick following a property dispute in Velsao Pale. According to the complaint filed by Rukmini Sharma, the incident occurred on November 22, 2023, around 6.30 pm, when the accused — Rupa Sharma, Ragini Sharma and Geeta Sharma — allegedly abused her with filthy language, assaulted her with a wooden danda causing injuries, and threatened her with dire consequences. Team Goemkarponn CANACONA: A woman has been booked by Canacona Police for allegedly assaulting a minor boy in Mastimol. According to a complaint filed by Neha Kumari, originally from Bihar and residing at Mastimol, the incident occurred on September 2 around 5 pm outside her rented room when the accused, Shahida Khan, allegedly slapped her son on the face. Police said the assault was reportedly in retaliation after the victim had earlier pelted a stone at Khan’s minor grandson.
