Team Goemkarponn REIS MAGOS: The body of an unidentified male, aged around 45 years, was recovered from the waters near Deltin Jetty at Reis Magos on Wednesday evening. Police said that at around 6.57 p.m., PCR Panaji informed about a body floating near the jetty. A police team rushed to the spot and, with the assistance of the fire services, retrieved the body. A scene of unnatural death (UD) panchanama was conducted, and the body has been shifted to GMC Morgue, Bambolim, for preservation and medico-legal formalities. Team Goemkarponn MARGAO: A person identified as Sunaram Soren, son of Durga Soren, originally from Odisha and residing at Cortalim, South Goa, died while undergoing medical treatment at South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao. Police said they received a call from the hospital informing about the death. During inquiry, the deceased’s roommate, Bimal Hambram, told police that Sunaram was a chronic alcoholic and had been suffering from diarrhoea, for which he was admitted to SGDH.
