Team Goemkarponn DABOLIM: A tragic accident near Dabolim Airport claimed the life of a scooter rider, Mahadev Madar, a resident of New Vaddem, Vasco. Madar succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC) Bambolim, as per a wireless message received from the Casualty Police of GMC. According to the Vasco Police, the incident occurred when Madar, along with pillion rider Mabusab Nadaf, was traveling from Dabolim Junction to Varunapuri on a Suzuki scooter on Friday evenings . Team Goemkarponn SALIGAO: Saligao MLA and GSIDC Vice Chairman Kedar Naik inspected the damaged baandh near Dadeshwar Temple, Maima Wado, Nerul, which has led to sea water entering agricultural fields during high tides. Accompanied by a Water Resources Department (WRD) engineer, Naik assessed the extent of the damage. Farmers in the area have raised concerns over the frequent flooding of their fields, which has resulted in severe crop damage. Team Goemkarponn ANJUNA: Crime Branch today has arrested a Nigerian National for being in illegal possession of MDMA worth Rs 1 lakh at Anjuna As per information, the accused person has been identified as Igwe Chinedu Victor, age 40 years, Nigerian National. Crime Branch officials said that Victor was found in possession of drug MDMA W/Rs. 1,00,000 in his scooter bearing GA-11-F-5861. The authorities have also seized one mobile phone. Further investigation of the case is with PI Vikas M. Deykar, under the supervision of Dy. SP Rajesh Kumar and SP Crime Rahul Gupta, IPS.
