Team Goemkarponn MAPUSA: A school teacher has been booked by Mapusa police on charges of assaulting a student of Std 10, after the student insisted on drinking water. Police claim that the incident happened on the afternoon of January 24 after the teacher, who is accused of assaulting the 16-year-old student, became furious when the student persisted on drinking water. After the pupil recounted the incident at home, the mother complained to the Mapusa police. The teacher has been charged by the police, who are also looking into the matter further.
