The state has also pleaded to enhance punishment of Chandrakant Talwar and Cyron Rodrigues from lifer to death sentence. Team Goemkarponn MARGAO: Fifteen additional lakes will be designated as protected wetlands by the Goa State Wetland Authority. The decision is an important step in protecting the state’s delicate aquatic ecosystems and was made at a recent meeting of the reconstituted body. The first ten lakes will be formally designated as wetlands on Friday, and the remaining five lakes will be notified soon after, according to Environment Minister Aleixo Sequeira.
