Goemkarponn Desk KARMALI:The Konkan railway police were rewarded with a pat on the back for successfully tracking down a missing six-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh who had vanished from a train. A nine-member family from Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, was reportedly on vacation in the state, according to the police. The boy vanished from view on the train as they were heading back home. At the Karmali railway station, police constables Brijesh Naik, the head constable, and constables Raghesh Naik, Manjunath, and Deeptesh Kerkar later located the missing boy. Later on, his parents were given safe custody of him.

MUMBAI: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has clarified that recent statements made by Krishnamurthy Subramanian regarding India’s growth figures do not reflect its views, reported news agency PTI. MUMBAI: India’s foreign exchange reserves increased $2.951 billion to $645.583 billion for the week ended March 29, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Friday. This is the sixth consecutive week of a jump in overall reserves. The kitty had increased $140 million to $642.631 billion in the previous reporting week.
