Goemkarponn Desk MARGAO: Konkan Railway conducted a thorough ticket checking campaign from August to October of this year in an effort to step up its scrutiny of unauthorised travelers. The results of this drive showed that 14,150 people had traveled without permission. During this time, they were all caught and fined a combined Rs 86,37,820. Analyzing the data, it was found that there were 4,484 cases of unauthorized travel in August, which led to fines totaling Rs 26,67,555.
