Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Goa has reported 152 confirmed and 4,511 suspected dengue cases in the two months of August and September 2023. Since Jan this year 16 dengue death cases have been reported at GMC. This information was shared by state epidemiologist Dr Prashant Suryavanshi. He added that as regards dengue deaths, scrutiny is being done as to whether dengue was the only cause of death as some of the patients were alcoholic and some had other complications. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday announced commencement of withdrawal of monsoon from parts of southwest Rajasthan, signalling the end of its four-month (June-September) journey. The met department said that the monsoon withdrawal has been delayed against the usual date of September 17. The complete withdrawal of the monsoon usually takes about a month.
