The post of sarpanch was vacant due to the resignation of Sarpanch Kshipra Adpaikar of this panchayat. On Friday morning, when the election was held for the post of Sarpanch, Chandan Naik filed the sole candidature for the post of Sarpanch, so he was elected unopposed .
