Goemkarponn desk ASSAGAO: Grass cottages being transported in a truck were gutted in fire after they came in contact with electric wires at Assagao. Traffic Police who noticed the fire alerted the truck driver averting any further tragedy. “The grass cottages which were loaded in the truck came in contact with the electrical overhead cables, and this is how the fire tragedy struck,” witnesses said. Goemkarponn desk MARGAO: A major fire broke out near the MES camp at Rawanfond, Margao today morning, during which some parts of a house and a furniture-making unit were gutted. Four vehicles, including three two-wheelers and a car, were also damaged due to the fire. However, no casualties were reported.
