Following the building collapsed this morning near Azad Maidan, the Corporation of City Of Panaji has urged the government for special powers to grant building repairs licence to tenants in the jurisdiction. PANJIM: Goa on Saturday registered 180 fresh Covid  cases on Friday. 92 patients also recovered. However, no death were reported. As per the Health bulletin, there are 3484 confirmed cases with 2038 recoveries. As on date the active cases are now 1425. Out of the 5489 samples tested, 1816 are negative, 180 are positive – 3493 reports awaited. At present the patients in isolation wards are 28 and 168 people are in institutional or facility quarantine.

The Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration has informed the general public and Chemist and druggists in particular, that the rapid diagnostic kits which are approved by ICMR and DCGI only are to be used. These kits are to be used by the laboratories which are recognized by ICMR.  Further, they have informed that these kits cannot be sold to individuals for home testing.
