A day after both the the district collecrors issued orders making it mandatory to have Aarogya Setu App downloaded on phone, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said there was no such neccessity. “I have spoken to collectors and only those who have Samrt phone need to Arogya Setu App downloaded compulsary,” he said. The new Education Director Santosh Amonkar has ruled out re-starting of schools before September 2020 considering the rising number of COVID19 cases in the State. The new director soon after taking charge from former director Vandana Rao has submitted a proposal to the government saying schools cannot begin in August, as recommended by the MHRD. The Deadly COVID19 claimed three more lives on Tuesday even as 174 new cases were reported with 88 recoveries. The DHS bulletin reads, “Out of three deaths zone did in the COVID hospital, while the two other died before testing. One male 65 years from Gogo-Margao, admitted at ESI COVID hospital, Margao with co-morbid conditions expired today.
