Goa reported the fifth death of a COVID-19 patient on Friday, when a 75-year-old woman succumbed to the virus at the COVID hospital. The State on Friday reported its second-highest single-day increase in cases, with 94 persons testing positive from 2,703 sample reports that arrived on Friday. A day earlier, on Thursday, the State had recorded it highest single-day spike with 95 cases. With Friday’s addition of 94, the confirmed cases now stand at 1,576, of which 800 are active and 772 have recovered from the virus.
