In an interesting turn of events, the Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to Goa Legislative Speaker Rajesh Patnekar and the two ministers Babu Azgaoinkar and Deepak Pauskar on the defection case filed by Sudin Dhavalikar. The two MLAs defected to the BJP from the Maharashtravadi Gomantak Party (MGP) in last MArch. Thereafter, Dhavalikar had filed a disqualification petition against the two under the Anti-defection law. However, till date, the Speaker has not taken any decision on the matter. PANJIM: Amidst increasing demand for opening up of bars and pubs across the state, Tourism Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgoankar on Monday said that decision will be taken by the State Cabinet.
