Team Goemkarponn Baga beach: Three male tourists in their mid-20s from Karnataka were rescued on December 31, 2025, after they encountered difficulty while swimming in the sea at Baga beach and were unable to return to shore. On noticing the tourists in distress, a well-coordinated rescue operation was swiftly carried out by six Drishti Marine lifesavers. Using rescue boards, rescue tubes and jet skis, the lifesavers successfully brought all three victims safely back to shore. The condition of the rescued tourists was reported to be stable after the operation.
